What is 5-HTP and why you might need it

5-HTP (5-Hydroxytryptophan) is an amino acid that helps producing serotonin for our bodies.

Serotonin is a substance that is naturally produced and that functions as a neurotransmitter to carry signals between neurons (nerve cells) throughout your body. Normally serotonin has a role in the central nervous system (CNS).
